Hey guys! Anyone planning on applying for the January/Spring 2021 start date at Broward? I know the applications just opened up.

The points and acceptance vary semester to semester, based on the number of students who apply.

Which fundamentals book are you referring to?  Can you post the title, or a photo of it? Thanks for the recommendations!

Fundamentals of Nursing,  Potter and Perry, 10th edition. It’s expensive, so don’t buy yet, but you can guide yourself with past editions (u can find some online version of 7th and 8th edition). This is your bible! You’ll use the whole program! Watch those videos on Youtube, those are extremely helpful. Email me if you need anything.. I don't know much, but I can help . [email protected]

How many points did you get accepted with? Is 11 enough or in decent standing?

You’re fine!

Hi all!

Let me jump in here... 11 points is good; however, it does not guarantee acceptance. @barbiedoll2244 said it best: The points and acceptance vary semester to semester, based on the number of students who apply.

It really does depend on the number of applicants, strength of the pool, and the number of students the nursing department can take, which varies every single semester.

Thank you for clarifying Nichole! Any idea when we might hear something? ? that would be the best weekend present ever! LOL. Also any idea on how many students are getting accepted for Spring term?

Sorry I’m not sure what you’re allowed to answer/say!

How was your last 2 semesters in school, being as it was remote?  Did you have any classes, or was it all clinicals?

How’s everyone doing? I had another dream last night emails went out... hopeful maybe today is the day ???

Much better than the dreams I've been having!  I've been taking Sudafed since Sunday, and my dreams have been beyond messed up!  I dreamed my cat escaped to outside and was catching rats, and eating them, leaving nothing but a backbone behind! YIKES!

I wouldn't count on emails going out today.  And you're honestly going to drive yourself crazy just sitting around waiting for it.

30 business days from September 17th is approximately October 29th.

I'm not saying this to be rude, but @ndrullard is on this site and other groups as a courtesy to current and potential students, and I don't want to her to be discouraged from posting or have her leave with postings about the application and acceptance determinations.  Her advice has been invaluable for the past 2 semesters I have been through the process.

It was hard to get used to at first but it's now running smoothly for the most part. We still have lecture and it's ran through zoom. As for clinical we have an online simulation but hospitals are now starting to let people in which is a good sign for you guys. It's the best part!
