Broward College Spring 2021

Hey guys! Anyone planning on applying for the January/Spring 2021 start date at Broward? I know the applications just opened up.

Hey guys!! How’s everyone’s anxiety levels ? I just found this thread and I’ve been creeping for @ndrullard’s comments ? I know she said  not to but I’ve been checking my emails like crazy LOL. I’ve also heard rumors that they’re not accepting near as many people this semester due to COVID which really makes me nervous. I ended with 11 points but people that I’ve talked to have more points so I’m definitely nervous!

I don't pay much attention to the rumors.  I guess we will know how many people are accepted/admitted when the letters go out!  ?

You’re absolutely right!? Every time I got a notification from this thread I get anxious about the results being released ??

You are so right!! And this is the third semester starting during the pandemic.. I think people are just trying to give others anxiety LOL. Anyone heard when we will know? I know it’s 30 business days but from what I’ve seen on other threads people have gotten decisions just a couple weeks after the application close ?

Check your emails from an update from Nichole. 

No, it's not a decision or acceptance.  It's just general information, about why statuses have not been updated.

Yes... that email almost gave me a panic attack.. then just disappointment ? fingers crossed we will hear something soon!!

The email I sent out is NOT a decision email as @barbiedoll2244 stated in the previous post. The email is below in its entirety:

Good afternoon all,

I hope you and your families are well.

As a reminder, you all should have received a confirmation email from me that I have received and processed your RN application for January 2021. I have received numerous emails from students regarding the status of their application and why they have not received any decision since the deadline was September 17th.  In that email, I included the two statements below:

You can monitor your status through your myBC account. From www.broward.edu, click on login (right hand side of the page). Once you are logged in click on myBC. When you are in your myBC account, click on LIMITED ACCESS APPLICATION STATUS.

Decisions will be sent to you BC email address within 30 business days of the close of the application period. The application period for January closes on September 17.

I understand you are all nervous, and waiting is not making it any easier. Decisions will be out as soon as I am able to send them out. Please continue to watch your BC email for any updates we may send.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Please continue to monitor your BC email for any updates I send. Do not go by what you hear from "your friends" or other students. 99.9% of the time, they do not have the right information.

This wait is frustrating, I know, but try to relax and wait until close to the deadline.. I almost had a heart attack waiting for mine hahahahaha

start reading the Fundamentals book, trust me, you’ll need it! Too much to cover and time is not enough. Read, read, read! Watch videos on Youtube by RegisteredNurseRN. She is amazing and those videos will help you A LOT!

How many points did you get accepted with? Is 11 enough or in decent standing?

The points and acceptance vary semester to semester, based on the number of students who apply.

Which fundamentals book are you referring to?  Can you post the title, or a photo of it? Thanks for the recommendations!
