Hey guys! Anyone planning on applying for the January/Spring 2021 start date at Broward? I know the applications just opened up.

Yes it was my first attempts at the classes and that’s what I calculated too.
It shows differently on my Limited Access Application, I reached out to Nichole to see if she could clarify for me. Hopefully I can clear it up.
It could be based on a weighted GPA too. ie by credit hours, which a C in ENC would bring your GPA down, significantly.

I hope this is easy to understand. I’m a numbers person, but the info doesn’t always convey correctly.
So, 10 or 11 points with a weighted GPA

@ndrullard can you confirm the way the points are calculated?

Thank you so much @barbiedoll2244!
Keeping my fingers crossed for the best possible outcome ?.
I sent --------------------- an email yesterday asking if she could clarify the breakdown, so let’s see ??
so mad at myself for slacking off my first year of college and getting a C in English ?
The GPA is calculated:
It is calculated from the grades in ENC, A&P I and lab, A&P II and lab.
For the 3 credit classes, A= 12 points, B=9 points, and a C=6 points.
For the 1 credit courses, A=4 points, B= 3 points and a C= 2 points.
Add up the points and divide by 11 (number of credits).
If you have an issue or do not understand how it is calculated, email me directly to discuss.

Trust me I know the feeling! My first year I slacked and failed my classes and withdrew... I dropped out of college and worked full time for 8 yrs before realizing that I needed to get back to school and finish. I was home schooled and my high school diploma was no longer accepted. I had to get my GED within 2 weeks, take another placement test, retake all my classes and it was just one obstacle over another... I was determined and got everything done. When I passed the HESI I was just so emotional because of all the hard work and the having to pay for my mistakes. But we are here now! Be proud! You got this!

without I had calculated that I got a 2.7
with this B I got a 3.0 ...
They changed the policy and no longer accept the replacement grade unless you failed the first attempt (D or F) then the replacement grade will be counted.
