Has anyone turned in their application yet?! Btw, I heard that Central campus might NOT have a May class
The whole keiser thing is legit. When I went there, they told me it was alright for me to take the one English class. I know most schools don't allow it, but keiser does. The reasonwhy I'm doing this is because I want to make sure, because I can't take any more chances. CONGRATS DAWN, hopefully, central will allow students. If not, then I'll see u in august

When I went to the BC Health Services Advisor to discuss replacing my grades..I specifically asked about "How" I could better my grade. I was told that I could only replace the chemistry. I asked about English...she said NO. So why are they giving people different info?
I also called Keiser about taking A&P and was told you cannot take individual classes..now you are being told something else! Sheesh..whats the deal!
Dawnsue,
No, he did not get accepted as an alternate, sigh. I believe, and it's pretty much confirmed on the BC nursing page, that after they use you pre-req grades then they use the highest grade in co-reqs. I'm also very surprised that 12 points was the cut off-crazy! And the lady that entered my info (while I waited) informed me that I'd also be admitted. Thank God I was. I think I would have fallen off my chair if I hadn't been, as I never thought for a second that I wouldn't have made it into the program with my grades/points, co-reqs done, and health core classes complete. It would have been complete and utter shock. Knowing what I know now--I shouldn't have been so confident. I feel like I cut it pretty close too, whew...
Shescoolie,
Did you get a scholarship to pay for everything? I noticed on the BC health science (nursing) that you can apply for scholarships to numerous hospitals, but not sure if I have to wait until I'm in the first semester, etc. If you don't mind sharing, please inform...
ps, how is the program going and which campus are you attending? Any tips for a new nursing student?
Ostlouis,
Thank you for the congrats and well wishes. And I'm sorry to hear you did not make the alternate list...
Hopefully next semester (the admission dept.) gives you all better results, but in the meantime keep on plugging along...
Happy Valentines Day everyone!
I got accepted into the LPN-RN transition program!! I didn't think that I would get a response so soon... I am taking the program online, but for the 1st semester I was told that it would be in person. I'm trying to decide which campus to attend (south or central). Anyone have any insights?

What campus did you call about the English class? I was told you could not take individual classes when I called the Keiser near me!

I was thinking this exactly. Everything happens for a reason and in its due season. Honestly I think you should try again JonathanL. Your grades are actually quite good. I was denied twice and I'm so glad I did. So many changes happened within that time that allowed me to be in an excellent position right now. Full-time student, got my tuition and all my books paid for, don't have to work, and STILL get a pay check! Never would have turned out like that had I started earlier.
On another note, this semester most likely had some staffing changes. Could be wrong but that could be why. Remember the economy's not that great and many clinical instructors particulary those who only work 1-2 days/week are prob picking up more hospital hours and leaving the academic setting. EVERY semester, we lose a instructor and EVERY semester an instructor has to be moved to teach another class. There's really no consistency or gaurantee that a class will have all the instructors it would like to have.
Those who got denied keep your head up. If it is meant for you, you will get it.
