I girl in my micro class got a phone call offering her a seat 2 weeks ago.

hello, i currently am in keiser nursing school in miami. i am almost done with this semester. our program is 4 semesters, and the gpa requirement is 3.0 to stay in the program. i walked in with the a 3.69, and had to complete 8 classes(a&p 1 and 2,psych,math, english, comp, creative writting, and microbio/lab) before entering the program. i am currently struggling in my fundamentals/clinicals (the same as nur proc 1 and 2 at bcc), i have a 74 in the class, but we need to get a 76.9 in order to pass the class. i am freaking out because i would have to wait another year to retake the class, and it will cost me 3,500 for the class (its a 8 credit class plus clinicals credits and the thought of having to retake this class is soooo dreading. (everyone in the nursing program says its the hardest class because thats where they build your foundation) any who, i was thinking of applying to bcc for school because i heard they dont have a wait list. i have all my req except i dont have hcc and chem. if i dont pass the class i will be registering for it in the summer at bcc south. anyone have teacher reccomendations and how do i go about registering for hcc? i went to talk to an advisor, but apparently she was new and i knew more answers then she did. she was a complete waste of my time to drive up from kendall.

i dont know if bcc would accept my fundamentals class, but either way, i dont care if i have to retake it again at bcc, i just refuse to retake it at keiser:crying2:

ps, i still have 2 more tests and a final to worry about. this could make me or break me.

i have all may classes except micro and was thinking about signing up with kieser and BCC for the Fall which ever calls me first cuz i didnt get int he summer.. is Kieser really that bad and are you getting BS or a AS. and how much is the JUST the NURSIng program, not the pre req...

For BCC there is not a waiting list but you have to get in, if you dint get in, then you have to reapply every session..

let me know if you find out if Kieser credit are transferable to BCC or any other State school

Good luck!

yes, they are transferrable. But honestly, look at the percentile passing rate of Keiser for the last year..I attend Kendall, they have a good passing rate(86.5 year to date) for the Nclex but the rest not so much... wpb has a 62 pass rate, ft. lauderdale has a 77% passing rate...I like that my school is small(24 students), I like that my teachers provide us with copies of the lectures everyday, and I like that if I have questions my teachers are really helpful in explaining things. But I hate that they have such retarded requirements and that school is costing me 40,000. Have I learned a lot, yes i have...but it an accelerated nursing school is not for everyone. I am starting to realize that.

Have you ever taken a class at BC? If not, you will have to first apply to the school to be put into the system. I think that costs $20. After that, you will be allowed to register for classes. You can do that online pretty simply. You can also go in to registration and have them assist you with your first time. I can also explain it better to you when the time comes. I took my class at Sheridan Tech actually. It was a 3 week class online. this was in last year in Feb. I would think that they still accept it, however, I don't know that for sure. I would suggest you find out who the advisor is for the health science program (I know who it is for North campus but not south) or questions. They seem to know more than just the average advisor. Plus you can always just go into the health science admissions office and ask them your questions. I don't think they will accept your fundamentals class, but you can check with them.

Also, the HCP class is only offered at Central. I don't know if this link will work, but this is the schedule so far for summer:

Jam, if i were you, I would totally apply to Fall. Summer was a fluke. They for some reason decided to accept way less students than they did last summer and because of that, people with 14 pts were even denied.

I just signed up for the FIU PCB 2099 which is supposed to be equivalent to BSC 1085 which I am trying to replace a grade. Has anyone else done this?

Hi,

I just got accepted for the May 2011 Rn program... Anybody that started the may2010 program, could you please give me break down of how the classes are scheduled .Like from the start May 10th to the end.

Thank you !

They do still accept it and if you take it at Sheridan Tech, it will cost you half of what it costs at Broward and you'll be done MUCH faster.

I got in for May w 14 points...

Can someone that attends north campus give me their 1 semester schedule as example? THanks.
