Broward College RN Program May 2010

Published

Has anyone turned in their application yet?! Btw, I heard that Central campus might NOT have a May class :sniff:

Does anyone know if there will be deferment available ???

Yes, I believe you can always defer your seat for the following semester

Specializes in ED.

They always have in the past.

Specializes in Tele.
My friend is at Nova and she got on with Baptist. they are paying her tuition and they are paying her 12.00 an hour while in school... Does Broward or Memorial have that that same plan...

from what I remember when my friend got the scholarship from MDC--- he had to work as an assistant on the last semester at least 8hrs per week-- and thats the $10-$12/hr

Now of course they paid for tuition, uniforms and books, and the guaranteed job for 2 years after graduation.

a month after starting the nursing program with that scholarship mentioned-- he quit nursing all together. Now he's working a $15/hr job that he loves doing fingerprinting for the immigration service.

way to pick 'em baptist! lol. I was dying of jealousy inside when that happened. But slowly but surely I did it!

So how much points did you guys end up with? I have 8.. and do you guys know when we'll be able to find out if we're in.

I have 8 points for GPA + 1 (Broward Resident)+5 (Hosa)= 14points

we wont know anything until 30 days after the application deadline.

I've got 13 points for GPA (3.79) and 1 point for being a Broward resident--so 14 points total...

Yep, what RN2BKD said...

oh wow only have 10 point..9 plus broward... i think its harder now cuz they put the hosa to 10 years now!!! crap!! so the 8-10 points may not be that easy anymore

Actually I emailed them, and now HOSA has no expiration date. :(

Not really....there is alot of people who dont have HOSA or even know what HOSA is and BC have restriction has to what schools are qualified to receive HOSA points...I just happen to be one of the lucky ones I guess :)

Thanks.. i just wish they hurry up already, i guess this term, the will be waiting till the last minute to let us know.

anyone plan deferring?

I heard yesterday that they still don't know if they're gonna accept students for central, and that it might only be students for north, which means a 100 seats. Anyone heard anything different?
