Broward College Nursing Program January 2017

Published

Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.

i want to work in the NICU too! 2017 will be our year we just have to say it outloud and speak it into existence. Our gpa definitely doesn't define us or what we can accomplish in the program I just hope this time we get in and get to begin our journey.

yes speaking it into existence. Fingers crossed and prayers up. I'm going to jump for joy and cry my heart out if I see pre admission in October

What was your gpa if you don't mind me asking

Are any of you applying to other schools for their nursing programs in the mean time or as a back up plan? I really hope to get into January's nursing program at BC too & I'm super anxious more than ever before! I'm hoping for the best and trying to stay as positive as possible since I didn't get into August. But I was just wondering if anyone else has applied to other schools/nursing programs.

I'm not applying to any other schools yet I'm giving all 2017 terms a shot because honestly I don't want to pay the price for keiser and chamberlain, but of course if I can't get in any one of the terms next year those two schools I mentioned will be my choices. When I had surgery last month At memorial west I had nurses who graduated from BC and a lot from chamberlain so that's a good thing. I'm nervous about this whole experience

chamberlain is 90,000 for the 3 year bachelors program which is ridiculous.

I'm applying to chamberlain, a school called jersey college I've applied just in case. I'm still trying for bc tho

i wouldn't recommend Concorde.. When you go for bachelors your credits won't be transferable to other university's. Research it

i was thinking chamberlain as well but the thing is that chamberlain is ridiculously expensive and they only do 3 year BSN which is like 90,000

yes but if you think about it, it's worth it.. Plus if you've done pre reqs and they transfer over it cuts the cost

that price includes all pre reqs plus the classes it takes to get your bachelors

younwont be a regular asn rn you'll be a bsn

to me its worth it if you really think about it

plus they're a really good school

i have friends going there

I'm thinking about applying for just BC, but i'm considering NSU also. For everyone that applied for august but didn't get in, have you emailed nichole or reapplied for January yet?

yes she said to email her when ready.

I emailed her she said we wouldn't have to reapply that our application just rolls over for January term so we basically have to wait till about August or September to start asking when they are gonna be reviewing applications. Sucks to wait 2-3 months but it should go by fast.

I'm also applying just for broward but I did go ahead and apply to Nova to the actual school to see if I even get accepted just in case I don't get in for January!
