Broward College Nursing Program January 2017

Published

Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.

I thought about waiting to see if I get in because your right it's a lot of money to come up with in such a short time when apps have to be turned in by September. Idk I'm just all around confused on what to do

I'm right there with you! I think I'm even more stressed than I was before

yup I'm the same also

idk what to do

I'm even looking in other nursing schools to apply to more than one school

the stress is at a all time high

hello everyone, i recently applied to the august term but was rejected because of my low gpa i have a 2.7 and they only accepted 3.1 and up im looking to see if anyone has any idea if you can re take a class over that you previously got a C in any advise would be very helpful

My only hope so far is that I know someone who got in January 2016 with my gpa but unfortunately every year is different. I feel so lost I really want to attend broward.

Yes every term is different I seen ppl get accepted with a 2.5 gpa. No you can't retake a class at Bc if you previously passed the class. Unfortunately you have to go to a private school that can transfer over to Broward. I'm actually looking to do the same thing since nobody from last term got accepted that have 3.0 seems like they are all alternates. I was thinking maybe to see if I get in for January if not pay the $1300-2200 to take the class to raise my gpa for May term. I heard May has less applicants due to it being fast paced because it's summer.

My friend is actually in this years may program she said it's super brutal. I guess lets just hope and pray January applicants have from 2.5 and up so we all have a chance. It just reallllllly sucks I'm willing to work super hard I just hate that we didn't even get a chance to prove ourselves.

yes praying to January. I agree we should be given the chance to prove ourselves our gpa doesn't show what type of nurse we will be. I just need that confirmation so I can really plan out the things I need to do. From what I hear the program demands a lot of time so I'm thinking of resigning from my job till at least half way in the program then to add I'm a mother of 2 and a wife. I'm anxious already and we have so long to wait.

I try to keep myself motivated I've wanted to be a nurse for a long time hopefully to one day work in the NICU to help those babies survive and to be able to look back to know I helped those premies in such a critical time just brightens up my day. I know 2017 will be my year whether i get in January which I hope , may or August.

i want to work in the NICU too! 2017 will be our year we just have to say it outloud and speak it into existence. Our gpa definitely doesn't define us or what we can accomplish in the program I just hope this time we get in and get to begin our journey.

Are any of you applying to other schools for their nursing programs in the mean time or as a back up plan? I really hope to get into January's nursing program at BC too & I'm super anxious more than ever before! I'm hoping for the best and trying to stay as positive as possible since I didn't get into August. But I was just wondering if anyone else has applied to other schools/nursing programs.

this guy I know got his associates from Concorde career college but it's private & expensive. I've been browsing too but nova & chamberlain is crazy expensive and it's only for BSN I'm trying to do my associates to start ASAP
