Broward College Nursing Program August 2017

Hey everyone!!!! I wanted to start this topic a little early since I am applying for the May program, but really want to get into the August program. Post all questions, comments, concerns, issues, below and good luck to everyone!!!!!

Hello Future Nurses! I am also aiming to get into the Nursing program for August 2017. I have already

submitted my application in March but I still do not see it in my myBC as of yet. I am a little concerned does

anyone know if this is normal to not be posted yet?. I am currently taking Micro lecture and lab. My GPA is a

3.9 and I passed the Hesi exam with a 92%. I have added up the points with the grades for my core classes

and I should receive 15 points.

Hi All,

I am from AZ, and I am looking to apply to Broward College since my boyfriend and I are planning on moving to Fort Lauderdale. I have all of my prerequisites completed with a 4.0 GPA and I have taken the HESI at a campus in Phoenix does anyone know if I can use my scores I received from that campus to Broward College? Or do I need to take it at the Broward Campus? I'm not sure if I can get any advising over the phone that's not in person until I visit later this month. Also where do you find the rubric for the points that is used towards admission?

Hello Everyone, I would love to apply for the August program but i just found out that I took Math 1033 instead of College Algebra. (I went to Keiser and there math requirement are different.) Im currently on their waiting list for January 2018. Broward College is cheaper and only 6 months longer. To be honest I rather do my Nursing program at Broward. I calculated my requirements and it a 3.09. I just signed up for summer classes for math that ends on June 15. A month after the deadline. My heart is broken. I took my Hesi at a different school and just need to retake Anatomy and grammar. I got a 70 on both. My question is does anyone know if the requirements will change for January 2018 and when the deadline for that term or if i have a chance for the august term. Any advise?

Hello Everyone, I would love to apply for the August program but i just found out that I took Math 1033 instead of College Algebra.

If you refer to the BC requirements, you will need Mat1033 anyway as a prereq to whatever you want for math.

It's on page three of this link, at the bottom. Sta2023 is covering me for my math, since it's higher than intermediate algebra. I took STA2023 through Keiser, online.

You need something from Math-Area 5 I would suggest taking Sta2023 through Keiser, and that will cover you at BC.
