Broward College Nursing Program August 2017

Hey everyone!!!! I wanted to start this topic a little early since I am applying for the May program, but really want to get into the August program. Post all questions, comments, concerns, issues, below and good luck to everyone!!!!!

hello, i paid 2500 for a&p 1 its very pricey and i paid out of pocket because financial aid isn't an option if you're not a regular student there. Its worth retaking it, it helped my GPA and improved my chances of getting in for august.

how did you guys pay for keiser? I need to retake the math course there, but they want $2200 for one class.. ugh.. and they said I cant get financial aid at BC and keiser at the same time. Otherwise I have to wait for January!

Hi Everyone!

I am new to the board and wanting to attend the August 2017 nursing program. I would like to get into central campus as that is the closest to me.

I have finished my prerequisites and currently halfway through my Micro classes. I have been studying for my HESI would love to take it soon. I'm just super nervous about it. I have been studying on the HESI A2 app. Has anyone had any luck with that?

Im so nervous about the HESI and the program.

Honestly the app didn't work well for me. The test was super easy and generic. I passed everything with 90s except for grammar I think which I got an 87, so I took that portion again the following week. The math part and anatomy in my opinion are what gets people, and you have a calculator so the math isn't an issue, and then the anatomy is very basic things. A question I remember the my asked was "Where is the patella located? Knee, head, elbow, or spine." See? Really general. I used the Hesi secrets book and realized I didnt even need that. Good luck.

Hey, if you'd really like to use an app, you could use the HESI A2 app from pocket prep. I bought the full version of it. It really gets your brain moving and honestly it was a big part of my studying material for passing the HESI. Overall I got a 91.2%. I also did a lot of research and studying for the anatomy portion from this really great anatomy class lecture online. Remember, everyone gets a different test each time. I took anatomy twice and passed it with a 89 the second try, which was extremely easier than the first try.

There is no chemistry on the Hesi for Broward. I applied for may but I really wanna get in for Aug.

Does anyone know if you can apply while being registered in Spring term? I am currently taking MGF1106 at Broward, which is the math requirement for the program. It ends May 5th, which is extremely close to the deadline May 15th. Just curious if I can apply before the class ends... or do I have to wait for grades to be posted prior to applying. I have already met all the other requirements... just missing math.

I went to the information session yesterday and they stated that, it is still very possible. Unfortunately, you must have MGF1106 (or any math that fits the criteria) before applying. Just make sure you get every thing in right when grades get posted.

I go to PBSC so I have to rush over to get my transcripts the day final grades are posted, go turn that in along with my nursing application.

I would recommend starting your BC application before your class is finished that way all you have to do is submit the transcripts, application and HESI scores before the 15th.
