Broward College Nursing Program August 2017

Published

Hey everyone!!!! I wanted to start this topic a little early since I am applying for the May program, but really want to get into the August program. Post all questions, comments, concerns, issues, below and good luck to everyone!!!!!

Hello all! I am new to the thread, I am currently looking to apply for January 2018! I just took my HESI for the first time and passed all sections with an 88%. I am retaking the math portion as I didn't do so well. From past experience should I retake the entire exam over to try and get a higher score or is an 88% enough to get accepted?

Hey, what exactly are the points that you mentioned? And what are "Alternates"? I am new to the thread and haven't really talked to anyone currently in the program. Thanks in advance :)

Lpichardo YOu don't need to retake Hesi. You need to focus on your GPA for Engligh, A&P 1 and 2 lecture and lab. That's what they go by for points. Hesi is just to qualify. It used to be used for tiebreakers, but now they use overall GPA for ties.

Alternates are people who don't get in right away because they only have so many spots. The highest GPAs in what I told you are chosen first.

Great thank you! I have a 3.09 gpa, I am hoping this is good enough to get accepted. I am starting the application now for Jan 2018.

3.09's were alternates this time. Never know what it will be for January. Good luck.
