Broward College Nursing Program August 2017

Published

Hey everyone!!!! I wanted to start this topic a little early since I am applying for the May program, but really want to get into the August program. Post all questions, comments, concerns, issues, below and good luck to everyone!!!!!

I submitted my application for the nursing program for august 2017 program and I am so nervous about getting accepted. I had high HESI scores but my grades were A in eng B for a&p and B for the lab B for ap2 and a freakin C for that lab. I'm so upset my grade was a 79 and he gave me a C. My gpa still falls in the "3.09-4.0" category of people that have been admitted since may 2016 however it's on the lower end and I'm freaking outttttt!!

Good morning everyone!! I'm a student at BC, also applying to the nursing program with hopes of starting August 2017. In fact I'm going to drop off my application today. I was waiting for spring grades to post which just happened Monday. I'm feeling pretty good. I carry a 4.0 GPA and I scored between 92-96 on the sections of the HESI. My real concern is all the stuff you hear about how hard it is to stay in. I don't personally know anyone applying this term so I'm glad to have found you all! Good luck everyone, with the deadline coming up soon--May 15--- I'm hoping decisions are made by June 15. (Fingers and toes crossed)

Good morning, Just here to hopefully run into other re-trackers going into GIGU for August 2017 (North Campus).

Good luck to everyone applying you're one step closer to your dreams :) if you have any questions I'll help as much as I can!

Hey I received your PM but I can't reply yet, haven't been on AllNurses long enough.. But I'll join the FB page as soon as I remember my login info lol THANK YOU!!

A new Facebook group had to be created for the August Start, 2017. Feel free to join. Also, I am adding a few members of current BC nursing classes, and graduates, to help give us information on what to expect.

Oh my! i am so nervous its not even funny. I got a 90.4 cumulative score for the hesi and have a 3.09 gpa. I wonder what my odds are of getting in. Some one please help :)

The anxiety is so real. My GPA is a 3.18 with 90% HESI (I was told the hesi doesn't count for anything other than meeting the requirement) so basically I'm hoping to get in with 7 points. I am trying my hardest to remain optimistic! I was told we would be receiving the email the first or second week of June. Does anyone know how many applied for fall? Goodluck everyone.

Acceptance letters have gone out! If you haven't joined yet, the most active Facebook for our class is:

Hey guys!

I applied for the August program and got accepted to the davie campus. Just wondering if any of you currently in the program at central?

I'm a little nervous...I hear discouraging things about central. Does anyone have any insight how it is like?

Thanks :]

Hey guys!

When you get accepted, you're accepted to the program, but not a specific campus. You don't automatically get into the campus you applied at. You ahve to select your campus during registration.

Join the Facebook group and talk to some of the other applicants. It's a very active group. It will definitely get you acquainted. There is a girl on our group that's in Central currently, and she's on the group with us to help give info.
