Hello!
I just wanted to make a thread for nursing program at BC for this coming Fall semester.
I passed the Hesi last week after 4 days of studying. (Got tired of studying the Elvesier book so I took my chances)
My overall score: 85%. My lowest score's reading: 78% ( English is my second language and I took this section last so didn't have enough time to really read the questions)
I turned in my application last Wednesday. The lady said to look for an email around May- June.
Anyone is applying for Fall? Did your status on myBC change yet?
Exactly how did you calculate your gpa. Because the way I did it is if you have a 3.0 you get 6 points but someone in the May semester had a 3.0 and they got rewarded 9 points. Am I doing it wrong?
You will only have the GPA from Eng, AP I, and AP II considered.
GPA points start at 16 for a 4.0 and continue as followed:
4.0- 16pts
3.9- 15pts
3.8 - 14pts
3.7- 13pts
3.6- 12pts
3.5- 11pts
3.4- 10pts
3.3- 9pts
3.2- 8pts
3.1- 7pts
3.0- 6pts
2.9- 5pts
For the May 16 class, gpa's of 4.0-3.0 which was 16pts-6pts, were accepted. Anyone with a 2.9, which was 5 pts, were alternates.
They go off your GPA, and when there are applicants with the same lower gpa, than they looked at your HESI scores to determine who would get in. Higher HESI scores were accepted.
So yes if you have a lower GPA make sure your scores are excellent. Your scores DO count.

That's how I'm calculating it but someone in your class said they had a 3.0 gpa but got awarded 9 points....shouldn't it be 6 points?
