Broward College Nursing May 2015

Published

Hi everyone I didn't see one made yet so I guess this will be the official thread for BC May 2015!

this is the only monday I will like this year I am sure LOL

Congratulations everyone!! Me too :) :) :) April 3rd 1300! See you there.

Well done everyone...this will be a Monday we remember :)

Congratulations everyone :cat:

It's a tough journey, but so worth it in the end. I am feeling nostalgic because I received my own acceptance letter from BC exactly 1 year ago. I was in your shoes, on the forums reading everything I could to prepare myself and thinking "wow I can't wait to be almost done like some of these other students" and now here we are. The time will fly by and before you know it, you'll be in my shoes. Study hard, and stay focused, and success will be achieved. Good luck to you all.

smilecuzimhappy! Thanks for your kind words. I am nervous but excited at the same time. What campus did you choose?

Pre-admission here too!!!! Congratulations everyone!! I'm glad I was wrong about not finding out until Friday! :) My orientation is Friday, April 3 at 1 pm.

Gaby you were reading my mind! I'm thinking the same thing now we just have to wait for everyone else to get their time

North

North

how was it at north? thanks in advance

lol yeah.I guess we can talk about it more on the thursday before that day. By the way, is anyone doing or has anyone done the background check already? The link all the way at the bottom of the email sent me to the nursing page, and there I found both the physical exam documents and the process for doing the background check. If all is correct about the background check, it is only $38. My sister just got accepted to the FAU program on friday, after being interviewed with 4 other people beside her LOL, i don't know how she was able to handle that...and her background check was $160!

ah913, dolfanjenny, and anyone with the 9am time, we should definitely meet up before the orientation so we can sit together and obviously know who we are lol.i really want to meet you guys!

I have Friday 9am too.....

im so happy because i was stressing over last years orientation date and time. I have class everyday and if I would've gotten a tuesday or wednesday I would have had to be absent and I cannot miss micro lab or else they will fail me. It just so happened that they scheduled me on a friday in the morning, because I have chemistry lab at North at 12:30. Everything worked out perfectly :)

That's great I'm not so lucky I'm scheduled to go out of town for vacation on April 2nd that's when my check in for the hotel is nw idk what to do push back my trip and go on Friday after orientation or go Thursday and hop on a plane Friday morning and come to orientation and get back on the plane after orientation or loose the money I spent for that one night and check in a day late at the hotel friday idk this sucks..... ps. I get free plane tickets so I'm not paying for the flights and it's only to Orlando so like a 40 minute plane ride I no that sounds a lot to do but I have been waiting forever for this vacation I don't want to have two days gone.....

future ARNP, I know everyone in here needs a vacation or is planning one before the nursing program, but at this point you can either email the director of the program and tell her what is going on or just delay your trip. I would delay it in a heartbeat because I don't want any confusion and I have been waiting for this for months. Thats why I scheduled my vacation on spring break, I figured they would let us know after that. I know this is tough but I think the answer is obvious at this point. If you are able to delay you vacation by one or two days, it will be worth it. Or at least leave the night after that. Orlando is a drive you can take in 3-4 hours. You can call the hotel and ask them to push back the date, I know some hotels don't give you money but MOST will give it back to you or allow you to change the date if it is no more than 1 week in advance, so I would get on that. Your education matters more than one day lost of vacation. My opinion...do whats best for you
