Hi everyone I didn't see one made yet so I guess this will be the official thread for BC May 2015!
Hi my name is steven I'm not apply for May 2015 but August 2015 i have a 3.0 gpa and everyone has been telling me that gpa is good enough. But I'm nervous! I got all B,s . I also have a question about the hesi what did u guys use to study for the vocab section I took it and the vocab I studied in the book didn't help ? Can any one help me ?
Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to update you all after a long time (sorry). My status has now changed to 'application in review' after I bugged poor Nicole so much. She did say they wouldn't really notify anyone until about late Feb/March....so hang tight everyone. I have received 13 points after my GPA review. I went to the information session this past Wednesday as I was already on campus at the time. As you guys said, it was really a very general view and good for someone thinking about pursuing and not already applied to the program. They did mention that there may be a Saturday clinical for one of the sessions, but nothing more. Hope everyone is doing well :)
This was my HESI experience..
There is adding, subtracting, multi, and dividing decimals and regular #s. There is a calculator for that so don't stress too much.
The hardest questions I had were adding/subtracting/mult/dividing mixed number fractions with unlike denominators! So know how to work out problems like that!
For some reason dividing mixed number fractions were my weakness.
I forgot the process I guess..
ALSO know how to decipher ratios and solve them ex: 120:x::10:50 .. Bunch of them.
Memorizing the conversions helped me tremendously!
I attached a link (Big G Method) that helped me memorize a portion of the conversions.
WRITING IT OUT OVER AND OVER HELPED ME MEMORIZE THESE!
No way around it but to memorize it.
Roman numerals were NOT on there but know the basic (L,C,D,M) etc..
Know military time!
Vocab use quizlet.
Grammar was tricky, my lowest scoring section. Use the elviser (not sure if that's how you spell it) HESI book. Review review review.
Oh and A&P was very basic. Hormones, glands, planes of the body etc..
That's about it, overall I got an 86.
Hope this helps !

Hey guys so I went to inquire about my application today (had to slip out during my micro class, cuz it finishes at 4:15 and the department closes at 4) anywho I dropped it off about 3 weeks ago when we got back from winter break and I still had not seen the obligation for my application fee posted on my bc account. So I finally got in to see someone and she had to literally search for my application because she found it absurd that it hasn't been put in yet. Anywho I was able to get a little scoop and she told me that they are currently viewing PT applications and are hoping to be done by the end of the week. Then they will be working on nursing. So possibly by the next two weeks I should see a change in status! So I decided why not pass on the exciting news!
