Broward College Nursing May 2015

Published

Hi everyone I didn't see one made yet so I guess this will be the official thread for BC May 2015!

I'm going to submit all together. I take the HESI on 2/7! Studying like crazy now until then. What were other's experiences taking it and what was best study guides? I'm currently using Quizlet for vocab, Elsevier book for all sections and an A&P book.

hello Katherine and yes submit all together that would be better I actually just left the nursing admissions office today and they said they will be sending out acceptance letters mid February or the end of February and March should be orientation. ..but they recommend you have your application in before the end of January. .... I use those things you have to study but I also use the teas book from miami dade college because there nursing entrance exam is suppose to be harder you can rent that at a library....that helped a lot but you will do great just try to relax when you take it..

Hey Katherine! Good luck on HESI! Study everything u can get your hands on. I downloaded a HESI app on my phone that had alot of good vocabulary and a&p. Only other advice is make sure you take a sweater it's freezing and make sure u use the bathroom! No potty breaks! :nailbiting:

Three transfered phone calls and an email to the direction of registrar.. my transcript was received back in November, opened in January, and not put in the system until today. Now my application says denied pending transcript evaluation because while they have all my transcripts, none of them have been formally evaluated because I'm not enrolled in classes this semester. This is very frustrating.

Hey xocrash the same thing happened to me. I was trying to register for classes and it wouldn't let me cause my transcripts weren't evaluated. It going to keep saying that until u speak to an academic advisor. They are the ones that cab push "magic buttons" that will fix it. I know it's hassle but unless you go in an have them do that for you it's going to keep saying that. Your gonna need to come down and deal with it before applications are reviewed cause if not it will hold I up everything

I've already seen an advisor and she's the one that told me they won't be evaluated for god knows how long because I'm not registered for classes at BC this semester. I have some more calls/emails to make today, but I'm also waiting to hear back from Nicole. She's been awesome through all of this!

Emailed an advisor to try and get an online appointment or to see if he can evaluate them for me. Now to just play the waiting game. I still haven't run into anyone else on here or any other threads for that matter for the transition program.. buy there's so few spots compared to generic track that I want to get everything in order.

That's weird that the advisor would tell you that. I had never taken a class at all at broward and it wouldn't let me register for classes. Kept giving me an error message. Went to registration who told me the only person who can help was academic advisor and they fixed it right away. Make sure you're talking to the academic advisor not science advisor. Well hope u can get it all worked out soon.
