Hi everyone I didn't see one made yet so I guess this will be the official thread for BC May 2015!
I don't it's OK and it's very low I received only 8 points I'm so worried about it. ....
Oh Alrighty yeah I was awarded 10. Praying that's good enough with a 3.5 GPA. Ughhhhh the horror of possibly getting denied sucks. But I'm trying to remain positive so positivity comes back to me :)
Many people have said they have had friends with 2.9 and lower even that have gotten accepted. I know we'll get in LADIES !! :)
Overall GPA is 3.8 prerequisite's GPA is 4.0. Im sure all of us will get in. The best thing about broward is they accept a lot of people. And i know that with determination ANYONE can turn it around and do the best they can. Ive read many amazing stories about people not doing well with pre reqs but kicking butt in nursing school. I guess its because we are doing what we want to do not those annoying unnecessary prereqs lol

Oh wow awesome!! I screwed myself with a B in English and in AP1. The rest A's bah humbug lol
Alright so I'm having a moment of panic and can't seem to find the nursing admissions info and am blanking on it. What is, if there is one, the math requirement for the program? And if there is one, is it just prior to graduation or required for application/admission into the nursing programs? I don't have college algebra, but I have a course that would be 'higher' than that (applied business math, aka pre-calculus with business related word problems) but it didn't transfer over as a recognized course to BC. Is there a way I can challenge that by providing the school with the course description from where I earned my bachelors degree to show them that it aligns with their pre-calc class?
I didn't take college algebra either but I got credit for taking MGF1106 (liberal arts math I) MGF1107 (liberal arts math II), STA2023 (intro to statistics). I am not sure which one they used, I think MGF1107 and STA2023 both qualified for a credit. Definitely check that with your advisor ASAP. You do not want to be sent to the back of the list for that. I am glad you noticed that before they started checking students information.
In the meantime, I found a list (see page 2) on attached link. It shows you the common math courses of area 5, which is what they're asking for.
