Broward College Nursing May 2015

Published

Hi everyone I didn't see one made yet so I guess this will be the official thread for BC May 2015!

Don't worry about the respiratory part they changed it u don't need that one. Its just the Florida laws one for nursing. It's on the papers they gave us at rhe first orientation.

I had a one on one orientation with Brittany the Heath Science administrator when I applied to the Lpn to RN program, so she gave me a printout of everything .and unfortunately I lost the one with the CEU information! So I've been panicked trying to make sure I have everything I order before my orientation with Jason dunne this Thursday. This board has been a life saver.

Hi everyone! If anyone is interested in a printer I'm giving one away. It's a dell all in one 810. It's only compatible with anyone who's laptop or computer is Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, & xp professional x64. It's an old printer but is very well taken care of. I also have 3 ink cartridges. I just bought a new laptop and it's a windows 8 so it's not compatible and had to buy a new one. I was just gonna drop it off at goodwill but thought I'd see if anyone needed it before I take it. I've already received 2 emails from our professor's telling us that we have to print out assignments and stuff so looks like we'll all need one and more convenient to have one. Like i said I'm giving it away so if anyone wants it its yours! Just let me know. Have a relaxing Sunday!

Hey there! Just wondering, has anyone at north campus received any emails from professors? I'm also a little confused on the book list and was hoping they would just tell us in advance what books to get for each class because the list is so big.

are the ones in green the ones that are required? or is its just different colors because? or are they all required?? I'm so confused on this book list lol

Hey didn't anybody tried doing their CEU's at ceufast?

Idk about the hour TB/OSHA/HEP... I don't see it😩😩😩

If you're talking about CEUfast its 1 hour OSHA and to make up the other hour u have to do the 4 hour infection control and barriers one. The TB is 2 hours and the Hepatitis is 2 hours. All done separately.

@sp33162 yes i did! but there isn't one specifically called TB/OSHA/Hep (super dumb) i called the nursing advising office and they told me to do the following courses to satisfy the hours

1. tuberculosis

2. hepatitis C

3. infection control and barrier precautions. (because OSHA is covered in this course)

hope that helps!
