Broward College Nursing May 2015

Published

Hi everyone I didn't see one made yet so I guess this will be the official thread for BC May 2015!

Hey everyone question: ( if anyone can answer this) on the "limited access application" link when u click on it and it shows your hesi points, gpa points and college math points, what math are they referring to? Is it the mac1105 that we need to do during pre reqs? I just want to make sure. I saw the health science advisor and was told I have everything set but I have been reading past threads where people were having trouble registering first day cause they kept getting an error message for math so I want to make sure that it's that math course they are referring to for app. Thx

Mac1105. I can't really show it from my old limited access section because we were grandfathered in without needing math to apply.

Strive for the highest. What's your core (English, Sciences, math) gpa? That's what they look at. I had a 3.5 with just my core. A lot of 3.0s, very few 2.5s.

My overall GPA is 3.56 and science is 3.24 I don't know if it's good enough.

Pretty much. I can't say it's a definite, but that's better than my overall gpa 2.4 . Your sciences/core should be fine. :)

Yeah that's definitely fine. I know people who have been accepted with a GPA of 2.6 & 2.7 I would just worry about getting past the HESI if I were you and concentrate on the math and the anatomy those seem to be the sections people have the most problem with. remember on the math there's a lot of questions on ratios, conversions, & fractions

Hi everyone quick question: for all of you that have already turned in your application on the limited access application link did u get points already for HESI and math? Or did u only receive points for gpa so far? I only ask cause my status changed to "app under review" & I got gpa points. I know it's too late for January and that won't change till March but I just got excited when I saw the change in status.

Guys, I just signed up to take the HESI on Monday, super excited and super nervous!!! The drive to central campus though....omg!! craaazaaayy

Good luck! :) You get to pick the order you take the sections in so my suggestion is to do the reading last. It really drains you!!(A lot of reading) also make sure u take a sweater it's freezing in there! & of course use the bathroom before u go in (no bathroom breaks aloud)

Thank you so much for that!!! I will try to empty my bladder before I take the test since I always have to go during bad times LOL.

I have a question, I signed up for my chemistry class. Is it required to take lab with it? i have asked three people at BC (north) and nobody seems to know...go figure!

Honestly I took chem with the lab at miami Dade. I'm not sure if it's a requirement or not. Let me check my degree audit give me a few minutes. Also IF u do need it I suggest taking both together so much easier. Hold on.....

According to my degree audit both chem lecture and lab are "NOT accepted towards my degree" in miami dade it was a requirement but I guess not a BC. Did it for nothing:sarcastic:. Anyway just double check with science advisor to be safe. Or maybe someone at admissions might know
