Hi! Did anyone see the Groupon for National Healthcare Provider Solutions for CPR? Can we use that?? $20.

I saw that i called and they are not aha certified, you have to go in person for the course. Try onebeat cpr they are certified and its only $40 😉

Thank you!!!

Your welcome!!! 😃

If anyone is going to do 1beatcpr make sure u sign up soon. Limited seating. Also the only Sat they are doing class this month is the 11th fyi. Don't procrastinate!! I unfortunately can't make it that Sat so I'm doing it at paramount training this Sat. Good luck everyone! 2 more days!! How exciting!!!

like I said before don't procrastinate to get everything done! We don't have much time to get everything together and turned in by whatever deadline they give us at orientation on Friday.

I know its not wise to do this but here's my number. To whoever is attending orientation Friday at central at 9 am and wants to meet up text me with your name and your I'd name on allnurses.com so I know who you are. I'll remove my number tomorrow evening :)

Question. Anyone know how much the uniforms are?? I keep forgetting to go in the store. Also, has anyone bought stethoscopes? I have been looking online but don't know if I should get it right now because most sell the adult sizes only. Just wondering :)

I use my adult stethoscope now when I get pediatric patients (though not often) and it works just fine. Plenty of people used cheap ones during my LPN program and plenty of us invested in a high end one. I have a Littmann Classic II and I absolutely love it. It's all personal preference!

Hi everyone,

I have been reading this thread since November and never said anything. Thanks to everyone that posted words of advice and encouragement, they are really helpful. Congrats to everyone. My orientation is at 1pm on Friday

Hey gigglygaby- the scrub tops at BC are around $24 I think. The bottoms are approx. $15 at Walmart and similar prices on ebay. I'm not sure how much the polo shirts. The shoes range from $30 -120 depending on which one you get.

I was talking to a BC student whilst volunteering yesterday and she said she got shoes from Payless for $20 and insoles and her feet are just fine. So I guess we don't have to rob the bank if we don't want to!

She also said that she googled a calendar for each week during her first semester to organize her week and stuck to it religiously. She even included in time for eating, sleeping and bathing! :)

thanks for the info guys!!! Looks like i am gonna have to babysit a lot more often LOL

Has anyone looked into scholarships?I would really like to see how I can get most of this program paid for outside of loans.Any ideas?
