Broward College Nursing May 2014

Published

Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Leave anything below. Lets help each other out :)

from what I understood, you can defer once and you will keep your seat. You just have to let them know asap.

is there a way too use the bc email on your phone and send emails? Every time I click bc site it is down and the link takes me to Outlook but my mail is not there? That site logs in but it doesn't seem to be valid? I am getting the email I forwarded but that Outlook site doesn't show any emails and says forwarding is disabled. frustrating.

Can you set it up as an account on a smart phone that sends mail from that account?

Hi I am thinking about doing the same thing but I am afraidthat I loose my seat. Do they give you any paper stating that your seat is safe for fall 2014?

Hi, i asked nicole howell on orientation day, if i defer would i have my seat for sure on Aug, and she said yes. She also said they only let you defer one time

She just replied to me. She said that you are guaranteed a seat in august but not on a specific campus and about 250-300 will also be accepted. About double of summer. Idk if that really makes a difference on the student tho. What do you guys think?

If they offer more seats they should have double the classes so it shouldn't matter... becomes a numbers game and should be equal. I wouldn't worry too much about that. It really depends on you and what you have time to do.

That's what I was thinking as well. The class size shouldn't change too much. I guess I'm deferring as well... ?

Hey all, where did you get your BLS done? I just looked on BC's registration and there are no openings. I am really stressing out over this. I am registered on CEUfast.com where I am doing Domestic Violence, HIV/AIDS, and Prevention of Medical Errors, and I also signed up for the TB/OSHA/Hepatitis class from BC but that doesn't seem to start/become available until 4/28. Depending on which campus I decide to go to, that is cutting it really close with deadlines. Any help from you guys would be really appreciated.

fastcna.com (paramount training service) you can go to davie or west palm beach..they do American heart assoc...that is required by the school. #954 921-9577 davie or 561-840-8804 palm beach. I went there it was good..call for appt and look at their website

Thank you!! I just called and left them a message. Is anyone else in the same boat as me with TB/OSHA/Hepatitis?

you can schedule the cpr class for tomorrow or another date on their website.that's what I did.it allows you to make appt.did you not do those other classes yet?

for those other classes you have to go to bc site and register.forget the 4/28 class.click on the classes available that say mtwtf.(.every day)and as soon as you pay the classes it will already appear in your d2l to start.
