Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Leave anything below. Lets help each other out :)

So I bought my uniform yesterday as well as the fundamentals of nursing and the clinical book and as I was looking through the books i noticed there was a packet title "orientation packet" is that something we have to take to orientation or are they orientation packets for the actual campus we attend

I brought my uniform today too and I scheduled my physical for April 8th after orientation. Does anyone know what we have to bring to orientation with us? I cannot wait to find out all the information in orientation. Also does anyone know when we can register for classes? I have so many questions lol. I also want to find out if I can get a loan because I have been paying out of pocket for my classes and once I start school in May I will no longer be working so the money I saved up has to go to bills.

there are scholarships too so don't count those out, competitive but accessible. A lot of the scholarships are need based and less competitive, the quicker you are getting in your applications the higher your a chances of receiving them. As far as loans go you have the sub/unsub and private loans and I believe there is a special one for nursing students not sure about at Broward. If you have received loans before or want to know how much you have left you can go to the NSLDS and put your info in to see where you stand and what's available to you. I have my bachelors so I don't have pell or any grants available anymore. :( I'm gonna be all out of pocket as any loans I have left will be for the BSN.

Hey! ? did you schedule your physical with your primary doctor? Or does it have to be a specific doctor that BC requires?

I was told you can go to any dr.

It seems as if all seats for May are filled so i will see u lovely bunch in August. Please keep us posted as much as u can guys

Yeah I scheduled an appointment with my primary doctor but I am sure you can go to any place and get it done. I know 365 doctors in plantation does the physicals there. Does anyone know when we can register for classes?

At 365 the physical is $30

I heard that we register for class after they have all of the required documents (certificates immunizations etc)
