Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Leave anything below. Lets help each other out :)

Which books do we need to read? I heard the fundamentals 8th edition perry & potter but not sure exactly. I thinks it's 2 books, fundamentals and skills??? Can someone take a picture or tell me exactly which ones we need.

Hello everyone! ? I'm so excited!! I'm also going to buy the fundamentals of nursing this week to start doing some reading, and I'll buy the rest after the orientation. I want to get my physical done, but I could not find the right information yet, so I think I'll have to wait for orientation I guess...I quit my full time job today, and gave them a good time to find someone else, but it was still hard ?

Ahhh I'm so scared to quit and not know when I'm going to get another job! Lol good for you! I'm sure we will need alllllll the free time we can get

As far as campus selection goes, you choose your campus at the time of registration. All three campuses (North, Central, and South) are taking students. Each campus has limited space. After the orientation, the program offices on each campus will send out the schedules before the registration week opens. I am sure this will be discussed at the meeting.

awww congrats!! Big decisions yield big results :) I found my physical online in the frequently asked questions section, I'm only doing my early because of my job I only get two days off a week :( . I did the background check already and school has all the info so just waiting waiting waiting to meet the nursing faculty and my classmates.

I scheduled my physical and plan on buying my book sometime this week. I plan on keeping my job for now, but only working weekends, hopefully I will be able to juggle it all. I had 2 jobs but I left one of them yesterday because I knew I couldn't do both. Im excited for orientation so I can know what the next step is.

Well...I finally decided to send my acceptance email back and reply that YES....I will be attending May!

I was planning on waiting until August but I figured the sooner the better! :)

I can't wait to meet everyone next week! I'll be the old lady of the crowd...LOL.

I have the Potter's 7th edition that I got on Amazon for 3.00 SO CHEAP. I am hoping I can use it otherwise it is a really cheap book to help me start practicing.

Hi, Do we need to go to a specific doctor for the physical exam? and what if I don't have proof of my vaccines ? I have to look for them.

They will do a titer test.

A titer. Plus in the state of fla they can look up all the vaccines you've ever taken.
