Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)
Good luck :)
First of all, congratulations on making it to GIGU! As the instructors will tell you, if you've made this far, your chances of finishing have gone up significantly. I am at Central campus and I loved GIGU! The instructor is still one of most favorite instructors. Her class is relaxed, her reading lists tell you exactly what to read (page to page, not whole chapters), her PowerPoints were extremely helpful (study them carefully) and her tests are very fair. I was able to get a B in the class. If you have other questions, let me know.
I'm interested, but I can't figure out how to send a private message on this site. Can you e-mail me at [email protected]?
Hi guys! For anyone who just passed GIGU, could you pretty please give us future GIGU'ers an idea of what your schedule was like, with labs/clinicals/theory?? Just trying to work my work schedule around it, but it is still up in the air at this point :/
Ms Lindor said our theory would be in the afternoons Monday and Thursday, but what about clinicals? Are campus days like they were in Process I & II, 2 all day labs and then the hospital the last few weeks?
Process I and II have a lot more on campus lab days since it is your first semester, they needed to get you prepared for the hospital. Now that you've moved on to GIGU you may have on-campus lab for the first week maybe two and then after that it's all hospital. You'll have clinical once a week which will be assigned once the semester starts. So basically you'll have class/clinical only 3 days out of the week. A lot less than what you've gotten used to in Process. Use your time wisely though to study!

I had a question I was an August 2016 hopeful but have been given an alternate seat with a 3.0 gpa I wanted to know from your term how many were alternates and attended orientation and actually got in ? My orientation is in 10 days and I'm a little anxious if I don't get in I am going to re try for the January 2017 term ! In your group how many applied and how many were accepted ?
