Broward College Nursing January 2016

Published

Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)

Good luck :)

Well What i did is I listened To her lectures (im

in north campus and ms fola lets us record). Read The chapters which btw took me forever!. Read The fundamentals of nursing by Mary Ann hogan. I would also answer nclex style questions From The fundamentals success book, perry and potter. I did watch videos for return demo snd practiced at The lab, i had close To 25 Hours. i did The math book and did not have To retake any math exam. everything was stressful.

Yea never did modules I tried it for the first test but found it to be too much. I would go to Barnes and noble and find information on the subject I'm going over and read. Some of the other books are a lot easier to understand as english is my second language and they have the same info. This worked for me At north I have no idea about the other campuses.

Read the fundamentals book by Mary Ann rather than perry and potter

and if you do not do ok on The first tests before The withdrawal date i would drop The class. i think you can only fail 2 classes before you Are Out of The program, i Believe The math counts too not sure On that though. I met nurses who graduated From bc at The hospital It took them 3 To 4 years.

GIGU students at central and south, how is your class so far and how are the professors? North seems to be all over the place. They are literally giving us 2-3 days notice for orientations and simulations (because we should respect what they want but who cares about being respectful to our responsibilities such a work schedules) on top of cramming in lab hours and test prep for the first exam. You would think this is their first run at GIGU summer session at North. Interested to hear about the other campuses.

Hi everyone who are still here .. I was wondering if anyone heard of someone getting in with 3 pts thanks to a c grade in a class I took 10 years ago.. I didn't get into May and am hoping I will get in August but I'm so nervous :(

Have you taken micro? That was the tie breaker for our entry class. Don't be discouraged. My first attempt, I applied at PBSC and didn't get in. Then I applied for PBSC, BC, and Nova and got into all 3.

Micro isn't considered for the GPA or to get into broward

Yea micro isn't a pre req to get accepted but I did take it and got an A :)

Nicole in admissions said that the goal is to have decisions made by June 15th. 2 weeks left!
