  1. Hello, my name is Katelyn and I am currently a nursing student. Today in my OB class it was said that if a mother is HIV positive and she passes it on to her baby, the mother can decide to not tell the father that his child has HIV. My issue is that he has been placed at risk for contracting and treating HIV for himself and second it is his child as well so shouldn't he know that his child has HIV? It's a struggle between HIPPA and the safety and a right to information. I was just hoping to hear if this is correct or not. It just doesn't seem right. If this man doesn't know and they aren't together he could be spreading HIV. So it also seems like a public health issue.
  2. I heard They are going to be using a different math book next semester so you might want to look into that
  3. It's definitely not too late. Just be prepared for nursing school. I just started the broward college nursing program and it is super intense. Before you even apply I would get all your ceu's done (it's listed online and they are good for two years. Go on ceufast.com) also one thing that was extremely taxing on our time for the first two weeks is that we had to do our hospital orientations online and they took forever. So I would try to do those ahead. Also a tip for studying, don't try to read everything. Follow the modules they give you and read along with the book. Also for math i bought the kaplan math review for nurses and it helped me so much. You just have to have faith in yourself. You can do it.
  4. Yeah I did it. It's 2.5 grains. HH and SS both mean 0.5
  5. She said you do NOT have to repeat titers if you just got the vaccination recently
  6. Does anybody know the date that classes start?
  7. Could somebody please post a picture of the paper that has all the CEU information on it? I was reviewing everything at lunch and the wind blew my papers everywhere so now I'm short a page.
  8. Mine says application under review as well
  9. I'm going to be applying for the spring. Could you give us an idea of what the day schedule is like?
