Broward College Nursing January 2016

Published

Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)

Good luck :)

Does anyone know if we need to show up in BC scrubs for the next orientation at Central campus??

I haven't heard anything regarding dress code for central. Still waiting on the email saying that orientation packets are ready.

Where did you go for your physical and immunizations?

I went to urgent medical center. I do not have insurance :( and I'm missing all the immunizations which will run me another $300 in estimation. Does anyone know a low cost place I can get the vaccines done without insurance?

Md now urgent care told me 170

for everyone that went to quest already did they ask for proof of prescription meds? i know nichole mentioned something about prescription medication but i do not remember exactly what she said. i have prescription & over the counter meds to manage my migraines. just wanting to make sure if i need them to bring them.

even with insurance Adult vaccines aren't covered. I called around EVERYWHERE even the health dept (who ended up being the most expensive) I went to MD Now in pompano and paid $260 for everything. They Give BC students a discount when you get your physical($45). I was there for about 2 hours but not complaining since I saved a LOT of $$.

Now my schedule shows what professors I have for lecture and lab/clinical.

Ahh I guess I won't find any less than that. That's about the price I got when I called around too. Thanks for sharing the info.

Hello everyone, this post is particularly for those students who chose South Campus. I have a question regarding the ceu's. Is there anyone that already turned it their ceu to the nursing dept? I'm almost done taking them on ceufast.com only missing one course which is "prevention of medical errors" I was able to find it on ceufast.com under the name of "Medical errors Prevention and Risk management course" is this the one that I need to take? Whomever turn in all their ceu's using ceufast.com to school and they already accepted them please help me. Thanks in advance!

I showed the girl my prescription bottle but she said she didn't need it. If there was an issue she said they would call me and then I would go show someone my RX. Haven't heard anything yet so we will see.

I know its expensive but you will need this immunizations for the rest of your life/career! You will be exposed to EVERYTHING and you want to be safe! Were you born outside of the US?

What campus are you attending?

That's the one I took... I'm going to turn in mine as soon as I get my vaccines done and the cpr. Those are the only two I'm missing.
