Broward College Nursing January 2016

Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)

Also, is it possible to rent these books or will we need them throughout the entire program?

Does anyone know the exact books we will need? I definitely want to get ahead as well I just want to make sure I don't get the wrong editions, etc. thank you!

After pre-admissions, the program offices will send out book lists.

Just got my pharmacology and Process I book today. I'm gonna start reading so I'm well ahead by January!

which one did you get? i want to purchase them as well to get ahead start.

I was told not to buy books and wait to do the CCE'S because the books change sometimes and their acceptance of particular places you do CCE'S could change at anytime before our class. In summary, spoke to Nursing Dept. And they stated they will give specific instructions for what's needed for OUR class. Wait until after Orientation to do things or spend your money at your own risk!!

A friend of mine in the program now let me use her books, she started this past summer. You can google to see if later editions will be coming out at the time of the start of the nursing program and non will be so I am guessing they will be using the same editions. Good luck everyone !

I'll be there October 16 at 9 am! So excited! It seems like most people on here want to go to North campus- Is anyone hoping for central besides myself?

GOOD MORNING GUYS! I just wanted to share some info about possible funding for the program. I am attending an orientation at Career Source Broward formerly known as Workforce One. They are giving scholarships to eligible students for up to $ 10,000. But you must attend the orientation to see if you qualify. They are doing the orientations on M&W every week. No appointment needed just walk in before 9:00 a.m. the number is 954- 967-1010 call for more info.. I'll update with my status. Every little bit helps. Especially since many of us may not be able to work while in the program. Good luck guys!!!!

On the pre-admissions letter, it states it will last approximately 2.5 hours.
