Broward college Nursing Jan 2015

Published

Hello, this is a thread for any current nursing students at Broward college or those who have recently been accepted. I'm a bit confused on Broward's admission criteria. What classes exactly do they use to calculate the gpa?

North campus should have a group too! Who wants this??

I don't remember much conversations, the majority of the math was actually ratios. Which made me really happy because those for me are a piece of pie lol . Also there were many questions on fractions, if I remember correctly lots of multiplication and division of fractions. Study addition and subtraction as well. Lots of easy addition and subtraction of loooooong numbers. You'll be fine, be positive. :)

Quick question: Sorry if you answered this already but how was the anatomy part? And congrats to everyone that got accepted!

Hello :)

Anatomy was actually a bit tricky. It was so random. The hesi study guide book I honestly feel didn't help me. Instead I got a lot of help from quizlet.com, I studied anatomy and hesi test questions and the rest is what I remembered from class. I remember them asking questions on the following things: female hormones, a question about shivering and what happens during this, there were a few "where is the bone located" and "what cavity is this organ", easy question about mitosis and meosis ex: which one results in 23 chromosomes, I remember one about the anatomical position where you gotta choose the correct description of it. Once I get home I'll look at my notes to see if anything jogs my memory and I'll send you a comment on here. But please look for online help, like the site I suggested above. Like I said the anatomy was random and not like in the study books in my opinion. Hope that helps a little. I'll comment later if I remember anything else.

That was helpful cause I'm worried about anatomy and math lol
