Hello, this is a thread for any current nursing students at Broward college or those who have recently been accepted. I'm a bit confused on Broward's admission criteria. What classes exactly do they use to calculate the gpa?
I don't remember much conversations, the majority of the math was actually ratios. Which made me really happy because those for me are a piece of pie lol . Also there were many questions on fractions, if I remember correctly lots of multiplication and division of fractions. Study addition and subtraction as well. Lots of easy addition and subtraction of loooooong numbers. You'll be fine, be positive. :)
I know the email stated that at the orientation they will provide us with all the forms but i was wondering if we should go ahead and get an appointment for the drug testing and the physical. Any thoughts ?
No. Do nothing UNTIL orientation. I repeat, do NOTHING. They're very specific on the drug test area and background check areas, etc.
Does anyone know if these HSC certifications have to be taken at BC? Cause I haven't taken them or enrolled to take them yet. How long do they take? Totally stressing now.
No you don't have to take them at BC, you can use CeuFast.com; they don't take long at all to complete, took me a couple of hours to complete them all but it also depends on your schedule.
The new hsc course (florida laws and rules for nurses) isn't on ceufast.com so you'll have to take it at BC and you'll have to take the CPR course at BC or somewhere affiliated with the American Heart Association because ceufast.com doesn't provide it either.
Sgray same here!!!. I have my cna and am exempt from the hsc1005 but still need the rest. I read there's a website that someone said earlier to complete all of them. My only question is does broward accept them ?
Yes, BC does accept them.
