Hello, this is a thread for any current nursing students at Broward college or those who have recently been accepted. I'm a bit confused on Broward's admission criteria. What classes exactly do they use to calculate the gpa?

Should I be worried if I only received 7 points though?

I got 7 points too. I thought I was the only one :unsure:

I'm curious as well since you're also given 1 point just for being a Broward County resident. They don't award points on the HESI though.

Can't remember exactly cause I took it back in June but it was 80 something %. Currently at work so I can't look at my result paper.

I talked to someone who is also applying for January today, and she contacted the Health Science Department at North Campus. They told her that they will start letting people know by the 1st or 2nd week of October. Ugh more waiting :(

I am so impatient guys... I applied for January, they gave me 16 points. I hope I get in. When I start the program, I will work only two days a week. I will be going to North if I get accepted. Has anyone taken the hsc classes already?? OSHA, HEPATITIS. ...

^^^^dont freak out. I got in with 16 points. I'm retracking a year later. Originally from January 2014. I just did my physical an TB shot today. I remember when I got accepted into the program. The same day I turned in my application I was accepted into the program. I was so... Happy!!! You guys will be fine. Keep up with the emails.

Applied last thursday after taking my hesi and sitting with nichole. my status says pre program evaluation... i know they still have to review my CNA license. Nichole said last week when we spoke that she was about to start pulling apps this week! I cant wait until we finally get our answers! keeping my fingers crossed for everyone:)
