Broward college Nursing Jan 2015

U.S.A. Florida

Hello, this is a thread for any current nursing students at Broward college or those who have recently been accepted. I'm a bit confused on Broward's admission criteria. What classes exactly do they use to calculate the gpa?

Just logged on to check my status (wasn't really expecting anything) but it finally says "Application In Review"!! Thank you Jesus, I'm one step closer!

Looks like most of our Applications are under review =0 Do any of your screens show your "HESI" points and/or "College Level Math course" points? Cause mine say "N/A"

Mine says the same. As long as you see the green checks you should be fine

From what I've read about, they don't give points for the HESI or Math. They give points based off of the GPA for Anatomy 1&2 and English only which is the Nursing Pre-requisite GPA. But I could be wrong.

THanks...that gives me a little piece of mind.

Thats right about the GPA. They look at your GPA first, then HESI is the second factor. I just wanted to make sure I wasnt missing points somewhere on my screen. =)

Should I be worried if I only received 7 points though?

Not at all, I was accepted with 5 points

U were accepted for an earlier program but deferred your seat? I also received 7 points... I think we should be fine @ Bfernandez143

I'm sure we will be :)

@F_B1212 what campus would you like to go to?

Yes, I was accepted for the August program but deferred for January.

I'm sure we will be :)

Central is prettier lol, but I think Im going to choose North (if all goes well). I know some girls in which I've taken most of the pre-reqs with, and id like go through the program with the same support group. We've been a good support system for one another in the past year and i know it'll come in handy when we begin this process.
