Broward College May 2017

Published

Anyone Applying to the May 2017 program? I wanted to get into the January program but I was missing a math class and couldn't complete it in time for the January program.

I apologize. I asked my friend who's still at North she said starting January they stopped allowing calculators. I guess to make it equal across all campuses. Only the new incoming people though the students further along can still use them. She also said once your in process 2 and beyond you can use them. This started in January after I left so I wasn't aware. Sorry for the misinformation.

congratulation to everyone that got through! I look forward to see those of you who come to north campus! if anyone needs any advice on study tips please feel free to private message me and i send you my email. I am currently at North campus in process 2 right now. I am not going to lie and tell you it is as easy because its not but if you work hard, read, and make good notes you'll be fine. I have been very successful on all my exams so far with A's and high B's so it can be done.

Good Luck everyone

I'm SOooo torn between a campus to choose. I was for sure going to try for South because it's closest to me but I just dont want to make a wrong choice.

i was in the same boat between central and north but i think i made up my mind. just dont listen to the negative things, its going to be hard whichever campus. Make it about you and whats best for you

Hi everyone,

I have seen a few posts where people are not sure what campus to choose. My advice is put the three campuses (North, Central, and South) in preference order. If you prefer south, for instance because it is closest to you, put that as number 1 and then move on to 2 and 3. Remember attendance and being on time is going to be a big part in the RN program. You need to be able to be in class, labs, and at clinical on time to avoid any repercussions.

If you live near South but don't want to attend because you have heard negative things about it and want to attend North, for instance, because you have heard better things about the campus, that may not be the best choice for you if you know you rush out of the house in the morning.

With that said, there is always negative things said about all three campuses and about BC's RN program in general. What we have seen is that those negative comments come, mainly, from students who are not doing well in the program or have had to withdraw. If you want to be successful, you will be. Do not let others comments or opinions influence what you think. You know what they say: Misery loves company.

If you have any questions about any of the campuses, ask! I will answer as honestly as possible.

Nichole

Nicole, how many people are taken into each campus. For instance I want to go to north campus it is already a drive for me to get to that campus! Thank you!

Hi Nichole, during registration how many people are each campus taking in? Thank you so much!

North and Central are taking approximately 70 each. South is taking approximately 50.

Nichole, for central campus, do you think the good outweighs the bad?

I, honestly, think that is the case for ALL campuses. Like I said before, there is always going to be both negatives and positives to whatever campus you attend.

No matter what campus, the program is not easy. It is tough because we want you to be able to pass your NCLEX at the end... and become good, knowledgeable nurses. BC graduates more students from the RN program than most colleges and universities in the area and has a higher pass rate on the NCLEX than most.
