Broward College May 2017

Published

Anyone Applying to the May 2017 program? I wanted to get into the January program but I was missing a math class and couldn't complete it in time for the January program.

No not at all. I ask students all the time for feedback about the campuses. We are all aware of what is said on the boards; so trust me, I have heard it all :D

Every student experience is different on every campus. Some students will say negative things about any of the campuses and others will praise them. Same thing goes for professors.

I am glad to hear you had a good experience with the North Campus!!! We like to hear that as well; not just the negatives :)

Thanks I appreciate that! And I appreciate your receptiveness to feedback! Don't get me wrong I had some struggles at North like any campus haha but with hard work and dedication it's doable and that's what I want these new future nurses to understand. :)

I think its great that our graduates, and current RN students, pop in to offer encouragement and give the new applicants a real view of what its like in the program. As admissions, we can give them the information but I think it means more when it comes from someone who is going through the program, or has completed it.

Students can be successful on any campus if they truly want to be.

I know what its like to be a full time student, work, have a family, etc... Its HARD! But it can be done...

Who will be attending South Campus? I am torn between South and Central, but I am leaning toward South due to convenience.

i know this is a stupid statement, but i'm really nervous about going into the nursing math seeing as for the test we wont be allowed calculators like at other programs, i've always used calculators to check my work to reduce errors but now knowing thats not a possibility makes me a tad nervous.

Not a stupid statement! It is OK to be nervous. Start practicing math without the calculator... just to get into the habit of not using one. I use one for everything so I know how you feel.

I too am torn between the two. South is only 3 miles away from me. Central is 6 miles. I like the idea of central because the SIM center is there.

The SIM center is on Central but all campuses use it. Nursing has its own lab on all three campuses that most lab time is spent in.

im really nervous about the same. But i am going to practice without it.it just will take longer to solve the problems lol

All 3 campuses uses the SIM center.

Also if you go to North they let you use a calculator for math.

my friend goes there and they do not. only for clinicals not for the math test that you have to pass with a 90%

Even if north did do that its not an option for me, its 30 miles away
