Hi I would like to apply for the generic May 2012 entry nursing program at Broward college. Any one else looking into applying for this program. Let's help each other out in this process. I know it's a bit early but I'm excited !!!:)
I was looking at the medical History paper for the shots and it says that if you have documentation of all the vaccinationa except the chicken pox you don't need the titer. Is that correct? Just making sure I'm about to make an appointment for everything.
They told us at the orientation meeting that you need titers regardless of your vaccination history, they claim that it is possible to lose immunity over time so they need to confirm with titers. call them to confirm.
Give me more info of the sls class. I want to sign up and take it before I start the program in August.I heard the same thing in the orientation about not taking your titers until you get closer to the program. I'm going to sign up next week for the CPR course in Sheridan. I moved this weekend and lost the packet they gave us at orientation so I might need a list of the things we have to complete before the program starts.
You can sign up for the class if you were accepted to the program, I emailed the lady and thats what she told me.
Regarding financial aid...this is the first year I've applied for a federal loan and pell grant. The lady told us at the orientation that financial aid doesn't cover the summer term. Does that apply for the federal loan too? Or can I get a federal loan for however much I want and use it for May too?

Just curious, how much is the summer term?
This is what I remembered from orientation in early March. The first semester is $2900 which is the most expensive. At the end of the entire program you spend $6000. I don't think that includes books. This is for florida residents. Out of state students pay more.
Oh okay, I just wanted to know just in-case loan or working over-time is an option. Thanks.
