Broward college May 2012

Hi I would like to apply for the generic May 2012 entry nursing program at Broward college. Any one else looking into applying for this program. Let's help each other out in this process. I know it's a bit early but I'm excited !!!:)

Well it looks like when I moved I lost the packet they gave me in orientation. Can you guys list the certifications I need to get so I can sign up for them at Sheridan Tech? I appreciate it.

U want to sign up for the online healthcare care core course # HSC0003H with Mrs. Judith Duggan which will get you your 90 Hour minimum of Helath Science core which includes your BLS for healthcare providers certifcation, 6 hrs of bloodborne pathogens/hepatitis/tuberculosis standards issued by OSHA, 4 hrs of hiv/aids, 2 hrs of domestic violence and two hrs of HIPPA certification. Total cost of class including books is 275.00

I'm just about to give up on nursing... I'm trying to sign up for my class's and it's not working out! I can't find classes all at the same campus! I found all my classes that were available at south, then I find out nurse processes 2 isnt available at south. And the other classes are not available at central! Am I missing something here? How the heck is this screwed up

Somebody signed up wrong and they will be dropped, call the office and tell them your problem, you can't give up so early.

You have to go personally to the nursing department of the campus you want to get in and they will register you.

Everybody going to south campus, when I sign up for my lab, they all say TBA for nursing processes clinicals. So does it matter which one I pick? It doesn't specify what hospital or campus its going to be at.

Also, anybody who took BLS , what was the course number and name. I'm double checking because the one i signed up for is BLS-students. And i can't find anything that says health care provider. And I called the health science department and they were basically useless on answering.

I took the healthcore class in broward college. I just don't have the cpr certification.

So far Im not running into any issues....I know we get the drug test done at Quest Diagnostics. I paid the $29 of course, but how much is it when you actually go in with the form?

Does any1 know the name of the lady that gives the math class prior to starting the nursing program, it was on the January 2012 thread but I cannot find her name. She teaches you how to convert the dosages and do the math required for the program, if anyone could find it it would be a great help. Thank you

I'm signed up for the HSC0405 at broward... thats the number list they put on the nursing program sheet. so if they say its not the right one i'm going to flip out. but I'm pretty sure it's the right one even though it says students.
