Broward college May 2012

Hi I would like to apply for the generic May 2012 entry nursing program at Broward college. Any one else looking into applying for this program. Let's help each other out in this process. I know it's a bit early but I'm excited !!!:)

Is south campus going to have another orientation w/ booklists and stuff?

I'm signed up for the HSC0405 at broward... thats the number list they put on the nursing program sheet. so if they say its not the right one i'm going to flip out. but I'm pretty sure it's the right one even though it says students.
Hey u have to look at the reference number not the class number. Because I registered for the wrong phamarcology class and they call me and told me to register for the correct class or they were going to drop me from all of my class

That is the right one, if says for student because there is one for people who are already nurses/paramedics etc. It's a non-credit continuing ed class. I think the distinction is for finaid, cause finaid will pay for HSC0405 but not the other one. I did this one, you do get a certificate and card for BLS so don't worry.

Does any1 know the name of the lady that gives the math class prior to starting the nursing program, it was on the January 2012 thread but I cannot find her name. She teaches you how to convert the dosages and do the math required for the program, if anyone could find it it would be a great help. Thank you

I'm not sure if that class is still being offered it was called "Introduction to Math for Nurses" with code "CAE0612".

I think this is important:

The Perry Potter book (Fundamentals)that the BC bookstore has is the 7th ed. ; a new edition (8th) is out since like two weeks ago, it is not yet at the BC bookstore but you can buy it at Amazon.

People going to south canpus, what time is the orientation that we got the email about? And have you gotton text books yet?

And when it comes to lab days.. Are they always at the hospitals or are some not ?

Hi guys as far as the CPR, aid/HIV and the other courses goes do we have to have a certificate for those before April 25th or can we still be in the program and do those.

Yes, I believe we have to have everything in by the 25th including the certificate classes. But maybe call someone and see.
