Broward College May 2011

Anyone else palnning on applying for May 2011. Im currently in the process of transferring back to broward and I am planning on applying for May. I have all my pre-reqs done and I already took and passed the HESI, and I also have HOSA so I think I may be in a good position(fingers crossed). I just need to take Micro & I plan on taking that in the winter term. If anyone can recommend a teacher I would greatly appreciate it.

Is anyone taking Micro at central this semester? I have lab and lecture on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Just wondering if I have any classmates that are starting the RN program in May also (and if anyone will be missing class with me for our orientation lol).

Wow thanks a bunch, I didn't realize that form was available online. I already made an appointment to start the Hep B series, so now I should be able to get some more stuff checked off the list while I'm there. So if I'm reading the form correctly, we have to have all the titers done no matter what, even if we have proof of previous immunization?

I think if you have proof of your previous immunizations you don't have to do the titers but I'm not 100% sure. I would call just to verify..We have so much to do so the sooner we can get some things taken care of the better

I also have micro lecture at central t&th at 12:30

I also have micro lecture at central t&th at 12:30

I have lecture at 9:30 with prof. B- LOVE her.

I have micro lecture & lab at central on mon/wed but in the evening

I have micro at north on tues and thur

I called the Health Sciences office and no answer, so I sent an email asking about the titers- if we need them done even if we have proof of prior immunization. The response I got was "we will be going over all of these questions at the pre-admissions meeting." SO ANNOYING!! For once in my life I'm not procrastinating, but my efforts are being discouraged. I guess I will hold off for now, and just get my hep B series started

Hi everybody! I received my email and will attend the orientation on March 3, 2011 at North Campus. Does this mean that i will do my Nursing classes in North? I am currently studying in Central Campus. I checked my Micro Lab schedule and found out that there's no class on March 3. Anyone who wants to reply, thanks in advance :)

Does anybody know of an inexpensive place to get ur shots done? I got laiid off of my job so I have no health insurance at this time.

Shots are between 70 and a hundred each if you don't have insurance. If you get them at a doctor's office, it might be a little more. Cheapest places are the minute clinics at Walgreens, CVS or Target or through the county. If you're a student at a university with a healthcare center (like FAU), they're cheaper there. If you really don't have the money, you can wait on the Hep B shot and start your sequence once you have insurance through school. That's the only immunization that you're allowed to sign off for.

Yes, classes will be at North because they were the only campus that are accepting for May

Great! Thanks Couturediva. Although north is far from our place, I still want to go there for my classes. It's an answered prayer. I already bought my royal blue nursing scrubs at north bookstore.

See you all guys!
