Broward College May 2016 RN program

Published

Just wanted to start a thread for Broward's May '16 RN program! I'm finishing up my application process this week.

My hesi was a 87% overall, with 90's in Math, Reading, and Vocabulary, an 84% in grammar, and a 80% in AP.

My prerequisite GPA is a 4.0

Do the syllabi come through the student email or d2l?

My doctor said I only need one dose. But I guess I really should call the North office to check

call north. i remember someone in orientation arguing w/ zoeller about needing only one, and she said we need two of both, and she said she is in charge of OKing us into clinical based on the physical and immunizations.

id guess our emails first?

What is the math club website?

There are math samples on the broward nursing club site. That is what the dean said at the north campus orientation the other day.

Did anyone for north campus get the syllabui ?!

Did anyone for north campus get the syllabui ?!

no. havent recieved a syllabus yet, my financial aid hasnt been posted yet.. -_-

I know I keep checking for my aid too... I'll post as soon as I see a change. It's so frustrating!

ditto. mostly frustrating because i want to get my uniform and the supplies :/

I went and bought two scrub tops and a polo and then got the pants at the uniform store. Just need to pay for classes! Do you know if we need the nursing kit for the first day?!

The dean made a comment about math & pharm ...stating that these are not nursing courses and uniform is not enforced ??! Did you guys hear anything about this?

Yes I am from Central Campus and that is what we were told at our orientation.

Very true. Because I'm with the LPNs... we don't have theory until June. But I'd rather wear a polo top anyway.... It's more professional.

I was thinking the same thing this is my plan as well.

Hello, Im starting the program in May on SOUTH CAMPUS... I haven't brought any books yet because I'm not sure if I should get them for the school all new or get some new since some of the books need access codes/cds or get them all used. What to do  I don't want to wait last minute even though not all my teachers sent out the syllabus. just one. I checked Chegg, Amazon, and the school... Im also curious what size bandage scissors is the one we need ??

I would advise you to sit down with your book list from orientation and compare the prices on each website today and put your order in. I personally like to buy books but if renting works for you will save a lot of money.
