Broward College May 2016 RN program

Just wanted to start a thread for Broward's May '16 RN program! I'm finishing up my application process this week.

My hesi was a 87% overall, with 90's in Math, Reading, and Vocabulary, an 84% in grammar, and a 80% in AP.

My prerequisite GPA is a 4.0

Thankfully they extended my due date until the 10th and if it takes longer the financial aid guy I'm working with is amazing and said he would help figure all this out!

Just a FYI... I called financial aid office and she said they are trying their best to post everyone's awards prior to 5/19/16 however, there is no set date... we just have to keep checking on it.

im quite upset about the financial aid process as well. If they have a due date f may 2nd, they should have the awards posted by then! I never went through this at the other college I attended. My awards were posted when they said they would be posted, and before my due date.

Now they are telling us May 19th?! how is that even possible unless they extended the due date for EVERYONE involved,and how do they expect us to get our uniforms and such of we dont have an ID to acces the bookstore?

Yea this is the first time I'm experiencing this myself. Awards should have posted today...allowing all the students a fair chance to purchase our books and uniforms. FYI the pharmacology book is on back order. I ordered it on 4/21/16 and it's still not available to ship.

They told me financial aid is processed only on mondays and wednesdays. They also said that our aid wouldn't be available to use at the bookstore right away, something about the dates for purchasing books wouldn't be available right away. Which, again, I don't understand that at all.

I asked her if it would definetly be posted by the 10th and she said she wasn't sure. Bit of a joke really.

When you check your financial aid account, are the awards that you are receiving posted and just not disbursed? Or everything is still pending on your end? Because my pell grant is posted just not disbursed yet so just wondering how long that will take..

Nothing is posted it says that financial aid is being posted soon please clear all red flags (which I have none)... Seriously irritating
