Broward College May 2016 RN program

Published

Just wanted to start a thread for Broward's May '16 RN program! I'm finishing up my application process this week.

My hesi was a 87% overall, with 90's in Math, Reading, and Vocabulary, an 84% in grammar, and a 80% in AP.

My prerequisite GPA is a 4.0

I just got my titer results back

It seems only the mumps and measles came back low so I am apparently not immune.

Do I need to get another titer after I get the shot for these (which is only one vaccine for both apparently)? Or will it be enough to just show proof that I got the vaccine right after?

I think you may have to repeat the titers after.

Anybody know when financial aid will be disbursed? My pell grant posted to my account today..

I think at orientation she said Titers from years ago will work but vaccines from years ago still require a titer. But if you get the titer now and then the vaccine right after, then they will accept it. At least for north campus but I would call to confirm..

I just read closely in the immunizations page and it says "Vaccination provided in accordance to negative titer results"

So I think I just need to provide the proof that I got the vaccine afterwards, since it doesn't mention anything about re-doing the titer

I plan to go get the vaccine tomorrow and then I'll try calling them to ask, my classes are in North campus

Yup you should be good!

Hello, Im starting the program in May on SOUTH CAMPUS... I haven't brought any books yet because I'm not sure if I should get them for the school all new or get some new since some of the books need access codes/cds or get them all used. What to do  I don't want to wait last minute even though not all my teachers sent out the syllabus. just one. I checked Chegg, Amazon, and the school... Im also curious what size bandage scissors is the one we need ??

zoeller said we would need 2 doses of MMR, and 2 of Varicella if we were not immune.

and no, you do not need to get another titer once you get the vaccine.

the titer shows if you have immunity in the first place. if you do not the vaccine gives you immunity and that is your documentation.

none of my financial aid has been posted yet. talk to egan st micheal if you're worried about it, he pushed my due date for tuition to the 10th since they are taking forever for my aid.

This the one I got for south campus

when did you get this because i didn't get this at all

My doctor said I only need one dose. But I guess I really should call the North office to check
