Broward College May 2016 RN program

Just wanted to start a thread for Broward's May '16 RN program! I'm finishing up my application process this week.

My hesi was a 87% overall, with 90's in Math, Reading, and Vocabulary, an 84% in grammar, and a 80% in AP.

My prerequisite GPA is a 4.0

North, but I would assume the portfolios have to be the same for all campuses. Just a forewarning to have it just in case.

well thats weird. they should have the results. wish they would have told us that in orientation,

I thought I would share this with you guys... I bought this on Amazon it clips onto your stethoscope and I got the plate it came with engraved with my name. It was only $4 and SO worth it! [ATTACH]21755[/ATTACH]

Is that the name plate that they send to you and you send it back to have it engraved? Looks great!

It is but I took to to things remembered in the mall and they engraved it for me on the spot. It was $16 but definitely worth it!

Congrats and good luck to you all! Don't spend too much money! be prepared to follow instructions. STUDY, STUDY, READ, READ

Does anyone have the syllabus for North Campus??? I would like to start reading ahead for process..

I purchased the bundle at the book store and got three sets of scrub tops/pants. I also purchased the Davis Drug guide that they said to get, as it is invaluable.

I started reading vital signs in fundamentals. If anyone knows where we can download the syllabus or if someone else has it I would greatly appreciate it. I have --------------------- for nursing process 1...

From previous thread, they have said to start with:

vital signs

health assessment

nursing process(Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Inplementation, Evaluation)

infection control

safety

hygiene

Does anyone know if financial aid will kick in BEFORE OR AFTER payment for classes is due?

I actually emailed ----------------------- over the weekend and he responded that the aid should be posted this week. He extended my payment date for me just in case the fin. aid doesn't get here by this week... I suggest emailing him and making sure all your stuff is taken care of and you're just waiting on the loan companies to post the$$

im waiting as well. can't get my uniform until my classes are paid :(

any suggestions on where to get the supplies we need other than the bookstore?

we need the penlight, bandage scissors, stethoscope..anything else besides those and the nursing kit?
