I know there is a lot of confusion going around with the new requirements for the BC nursing program so I wanted to start a thread for those of us finishing prerequisites and applying in January. I'm in the Core class now, but other than that I'm finished with everything else and getting very excited to start next year!
I would like to know how are you preparing for your first semester of nursing school? What books worked for you?
Well now that I have all my books, I will start with the math since that is what I am most worried about. Then I will do the readings from the list I found on the Professor's website from North. I am going to make flashcards of the abbreviations we need to remember and I will review my HCP info so it is fresh, since I took it awhile ago. Also, I got one of the recommended books on test strategies, hopefully that all helps me prepare. *I am open to suggestions though : )
Can you tell me what does "General Education Humanities" and "General Education Social/ Behavioral Science"mean class wise? what kind of classes are these? I am about to start my pre-reqs in the fall do we take chemistry because it wasn't stated as a pre-req?[/quote']General Ed Humanities are for example Psychology, any of the appreciations (art, music, theater). General Ed Social/ Behavioral are for example sociology or speech.
So how is everyone spending their last few days of freedom?
Went to ER on Saturday for possible ovarian torsion. Have a UTI and possible pyelonephritis. Going in for ultrasound. Possible ectopic and cyst. So.... In and out of medical facilities is how I'm spending my last few days of freedom.
