I know there is a lot of confusion going around with the new requirements for the BC nursing program so I wanted to start a thread for those of us finishing prerequisites and applying in January. I'm in the Core class now, but other than that I'm finished with everything else and getting very excited to start next year!
I know I should keep my mouth shut, but............
Please it is starting to get a little snippy in here. This was a fun thread at one point. I think the waiting is getting to everyone.
If you have info, that you KNOW feel free to offer it and let people make their decisions. Do not post about what your mother's brother's sister said, it just adds to more confusion.
You can take the CE's prior to being accepted- I took them because I was working in the field that dealt with medical records and such, so it couldn't hurt to have. If you don't mind spending the time and money.
People we start our program in 2 weeks!!!!! We have come so far and have such a long way to go. Keep it real and agree to disagree and respect each other.
Good Luck!!!
@Stacie 29. I took my CEU's last year May when I thought I going into the program. My CEU's are good for 4 years as stated on the certificate. I took all of them through Broward College. The only that won't last for 2 yrs is CPR. Just double check with the nursing department as things do change. Oh about the uniforms you can start out with 2, however I recommend buying the bottoms at UA if possible the UA scrubs fit better and have the pockets on the side (cheaper). You can purchase the tops at school store. That's just my 2 cents. Look for coupons as well. I hope that helps.

Congrats Luckiduck :)
Maybe someone that did their pre req's somewhere else can help there. I was a student at BC so I can only offer what I know. Good luck :)
