Broward College hopeful for May 2013 Nursing Program

Published

I know there is a lot of confusion going around with the new requirements for the BC nursing program so I wanted to start a thread for those of us finishing prerequisites and applying in January. I'm in the Core class now, but other than that I'm finished with everything else and getting very excited to start next year!

In the titer/vaccine section of the physical.

Is it listed as something other than "Flu"?

If its not listed then you have the outdated one. You need the one that has them in sections and its in the titers page.

I printed mine off the BC website, in the nursing section, had no clue there was another one. The physical is divided into sections but I'm not seeing flu.

You're supposed to use the one emailed to you. Not the website one.

They're the same.

I'll just go see them and ask tomorrow. Thanks for your help. :]

They are not. One is updated and the other one is an older version. I printed both out and looked them over. One is separated into sections. The other is not. The updated one has the flu shot requirement on the titers page. :)

All right, then. I'll ask them tomorrow and see what they say. :]

Ok. :)

I don't understand what's the big deal, if someone says they don't want to take the shot, then it is what it is, I don't understand why some of you are concerning yourself and worrying about others. If you think it's what needs to be done then do it other wise let everyone else do what they what.... Just saying

It's because it is a requirement. You don't really have a say in what you want to take or not. It's not a morality thing, it's a health requirement. Just saying.

WELL like I said worry about yourself, everyone read/heard the first time you said it. So please not repeating yourself over and over again, if they don't do it then they don't and if they are not in the program because of it then oh well. But PLEASE stop repeated the same thing, there other things that can be spoken about. Just saying

What does it matter to you if I repeat myself? What if someone is JUST starting to read this thread and are asking the same question. Keep to yourself if it doesn't apply to you as it has helped some people who wondered. That is all. :)
