this thread is for all of the broward college central campus students that will begin in january 2012!!! let's share our thoughts and findings here! our countdown to graduation will start on january 5, 2012.

I was told that we had to wear our uniform scrubs and white shoes on clinical days even if we were not at the hospital yet. This seems diff from what the lady said at orientation though

On your clinical days you have to wear your scrubs with your white sneakers but when you are in the lab practicing you can wear any kind of close shoe with your polo or u can wear your scrubs if you want to.

Just a FYI..I went to Sears at the broward mall and they had the scrub bottoms from Cherokee for 15.99...the right color , in multiple sizes..petite sizes as well as reg sizes.. bought some timberland nursing shoes which are so comfortable..they were a little pricey on sale for 90...but I figured the comfort will more than make up for it...the nursemates shoes are only avail online.

Thanks for the info. - Do you think sneakers will be comfy enough for this program. Are you doing the face to face or the on-line program? I'm doing on-line. Have you done any prep as far a reading goes?

I've been trying to get back in the swing of things, and the prof emailed us to let us know we can start reading the 1st 5 chapters in nur proc text.

I bought 2 polos, 2 scrubs sets, white sneakers and the Elsevier box...still missing books and financial aid! I'm quite excited now...gonna use a tape recorder I think for lecture.

Which teacher sent the email? I never received one.... Can someone post it on here? Is it the fundamentals or nursing book?

Do you guys have the same teacher for both theory and clinicals? I have two different instructors. I overheard some students saying that they were suppose to match. Is this true?

hi girls, i'm finally on here after much convincing from ginarob83! haha. congrats everyone on making it this far! wanted to know who has mrs. smith for nur pro i? i'm a bit confused as to what modules i'm supposed to be reading, the handouts, the skill cards, ok, well everything!!!! what is everyone reading? how are you writing out the steps? i have found i do not feel i have sufficient information on how to go about our assignments. i feel so lost!

I believe Prof. K. Says we should be getting the skills from the perry/potter clinical nursing skills & techniques book...on blackboard under lab in the welcome section you should see the skill cards list..on the different topic for the cards...hope this helps.
