I must be crazy...i have a couple of recertifications to do, which I am doing thru CEUfast...I remember asking if I could do them on line at orientation and I believe she said yes... since they were recertification...I called the nursing dept and left a msg to make sure, but no call back as well..If anyone know if I remembered correctly let me know..Please and thank you.

I think thats what she said.. Everything besides CPR right?

Do you know if we have to wear the blue polo on the days we have math and pharm? I have that on Thursday so should i show up the first day in the blue polo???

Yes we do need to wear the polos on non clinical days...so from now on when we are on campus we will be known as nursing students..YAY...I can finally sleep..I've been up for 2 days and classes hasn't even started..

Everyone have a blast the next few weeks before our life is taken over...WE ARE NOW OFFICIALLY NURSING STUDENTS!!!!!!:nurse:

So, Im extremely happy right now..... I was so upset at the pre admissions meeting when they were advising those of us that have not taken Micro to defer our seats. I knew it was going to be a challenge, but I can't defer my seat. Well come to find out.... I actually already took Micro at FSU. I didn't realize it because they call it Prokaryotic Biology instead. Im going to the campus to see if they will accept my credits on Thursday. I also still need to get fingerprinting, drug screening and my background check done. But at least this is one less thing for me to worry about!! :yeah:

I read a semi-old tread when you were in the process of applying to BC nursing program along with having a GPA below a 3.0 with a great HESI score. Reading your post was very inspiring because some easily give up when they feel defeated by their GPA's. I truly want to say God Bless you; and hope you come back to share your nursing journey. Best of Luck. :yeah::heartbeat

Thank you so much for this comment! That was exactly what I was hoping to be able to do.... Inspire everyone that feels like they aren't good enough to make it in. I can't wait to begin this journey and will definitely share my experience. I wish you the best of luck as well!!! You have no idea how much you just inspired me.... Simply by posting that comment! Thank you!! :nurse:

Has anyone gotten their stethoscope, shoes, etc.? I'm going to try to buy these things this weekend, but was curious where everyone else went and what kind did you buy???

Not sure how I'm going to handle my finances, but I'll be fine..... I hope! Oh, and my financial aid is still not processed yet.... Ughhhhhh!!!!!!

She said at orientation no...only on clinical days, but if we are practicing our skills on our own time we would have to wear closed shoes.

When we are going to practice in the lab do we have to wear the clinical outfit or if its a practice day we can wear the blue polo with the white shoes?

I just got done with my finals and my pre req gpa is about a 3.0. so I have about 7 points without the HESI. Do you think thats enough for the may 2012 program?
