Broward College August 2012

Published

Hi! This is a thread for anyone applying for August 2012 class at Broward College for the generic nursing track. I deferred my seat so I will be starting in August. I haven't decided if I want to go to central or south yet.. I'm super excited about starting in August! If I could help anyone with anything feel free to ask! :)

I was planning on taking my CPR at Nursing Unlimited in miami well BC take this?

As long as it's BLS for Healthcare Providers (cpr & aed) certified by the American Heart Association they will accept it so just make sure thats what Nursing Unlimited is offering.

How much does all that stuff cost on ceufast because thats where i plan on taking it next week?

Be certain it its the right amount of hours req. If you are short on the hours health science department will not accept it!

I did all the courses at BC to avoid any confusion.

I took the health core (HCP001) class in 2010 at Broward College but I don't remember when it expires. I didn't get accepted to the program so would I have to redo the 75 hours if my certificate is expired to be able to apply for Jan 2013.

I really didn't like how the class went so would hate to take it again. Too much drama.

I will be taking the TB/OSHA/HEP at broward because its requires 6 hours all together the rest like HIV and domestic violence are fine to take on ceufast

I was told by the Health Admissions Dept at North campus that your health core certificates are good for 10 years and your CPR certification is good for 2 years. Therefore you should not have to worry about retaking any of the health core certifications. Just be sure to keep your CPR certification current.

Thank you for the update. I need to take the rest of the certifications listed to do before program.
