Broward College August 2011

Hi guys, is anyone else working towards starting the nursing program at BC in August 2011? I am working on my last pre-reqs this semester (spring 11) and then apply and hopefully get accepted for the fall semester. I just took and passed the hesi exam last night and that is one big load off my back. I also started my hep shots since it takes 3 rounds of shots and a total of 6 months to be fully immunized. I want to have all of my ducks in order to start the program. I am undecided whether to go to south or central campus. Any advice?

I plan to attend South campus because it is closer to my house. Right now I am taking Micro at central and it is kicking my butt!!

I plan to go to North. I took Micro at Central.. I liked it. It was challenging though. Im sure you will do well. Have you guys started your unknowns? I hated that lol

Not yet, we take our first exam tomorrow. Condensing this class to 6 weeks is crazy! I cant wait for this to be over and I will be happy if I get a B in this class!! :uhoh3:

Congrats!! You will do well! I haven't turned my app in yet. I will turn it in om Monday now that they have extended the deadline. I was going to wait for January, but I want to get it started lol. I know you will get it!!

Does anyone know if the points that show on the Limited Access Application Information page are the points that you will recieve for your GPA? My points show already but idk if they're right.

Yes, the points are based on GPA, 1 point if you are a broward county resident and 5 points if you have HOSA. In the admission section to the nursing program they have it broken down on how your GPA translates into points. I think you get 4 points for A's 3 points for B's etc. They only count the GPA in the pre-req's.

The thing is that it says points possible 1-16 for the GPA and I have 16 points but I don't have a perfect GPA.

Maybe you have 15 points and then 1 for being a broward resident? Either way, I agree with the other post. Just let it be :yeah:
