  1. Goldenjewel, I started at South Campus a month ago and I love it! So far I have passed all of my exams and return demos. We are getting ready to start doing hospital clinicals in 2 weeks. You have to work really hard and make nursing your entire life but if you are dedicated there is no reason you should not pass. I also really like the instructors we have. I do wish our lab was a little bigger and nicer but other than that I am very happy with my decision. Good luck!
  2. Hi, I hope everyone survived their first week in Nursing school. WOW is this overwhelming! I am still trying to figure out how to study for Lecture. We have our first Lecture exam in South campus next week on Friday. I am crossing all of my fingers and toes hoping I pass it. I am going to go and spend a couple of hours at open lab tomorrow. I want to start getting ready for our first return demo. How are you guys holding up?
  3. Thank you so much for all of this information!! I am getting ready nervous because the bookstore has been out of the modules for a couple of weeks I read the chapters but like you said, it was way to much information to memorize. I am going to go by the bookstore on Thursday again and see if they have gotten them in. I am also missing the orientation packet. Let the stress begin!!!
  4. Yes, I know modules are small packets you have to buy for each class. So we need them for NUR1020 and NUR1210. It is around $20 or less and they are campus specific. I went about a week ago and they still did not have them at south campus
  5. I have not gotten the syllabus. I was hoping I would see it in the modules. I have not bought those yet. I will get them after the Math class on Thursday. I am leaving on vacation and will not be around for a week. I am glad I saw these emails before I left. I will take the books with me and make sure I start reading at least the lecture chapters.
  6. So I finally received emails with instructions for our first day of lecture and lab at South Campus. For lab it says to bring the Perry and Potter skills book & study guide with skills sheets. Are the skills sheets in the study guide? Or is this something that has to be purchased seperately?
  7. I really like my schedule for the first semester. Everything starts early and ends early. Plenty of time to focus and study after class :)
  8. I was very excited to see that today is August 1st! I can finally say that I am starting Nursing school THIS month!! Woohoo!!
  9. I asked the professor and he says the one they have in the book store. I went to the bookstore and it is a large hardcover book. Just go in and ask and they will direct you. I am not home with my book, if not I would give you the ISBN number
  10. Congratulations to all those that got accepted yesterday!! That is GREAT news!!! When will they let you register? Hopefully soon!! Congrats!!
  11. Woohoo Congrats on getting all of your paperwork ready! I felt a huge weight off my shoulders when I turned in my packet on Thursday. I have not heard anything back so hopefully no news is good news :) The packet for South campus was easy to put together in relation to the other campus. I just had to put it in order and staple it together LOL! We are getting really close!!!
  12. Congrats on getting into the program, we are all super excited! I would go to the campus that is closest to you. We are going to be living at school and clinicals for the next 18 months so it is probably best to be close to it :) I have heard many things from all campuses. I think as long as you go in with the right attitude you will do just fine. Good luck!!
  13. You should probably speak to an advisor and see what they said. I have a friend that got a D in Chemistry and they are letting her take it again and that will make a huge difference in her points for the program. I am not sure if they will allow you to do that with a C. If they don't try to get the highest grade possible on the HESI. They seem to really look at those scores these days. Good luck!!
  14. I have not seen anything on the uniforms or what to wear to class. I do have the uniforms washed and ready to go :)
  15. I went to South Campus yesterday and turned in my packet. They quickly looked over it and said thank you. It was very easy and they were very nice. I did confirm that JCS will be our lecture professor for the first 8 weeks :) I went to the bookstore and they were taking out all of the books for the August term. I was able to get the few I was missing. I am now only missing the modules and orientation packet. If everything checks out with the packet I turned in, I should be good to go :)
